Strong Weatherproof Enclosure
As an access point, the OmniTik U-5HnD is sealed with a durable enclosure that is UV proof, so it doesn’t tarnish and experience premature deterioration. It is also weatherproof to ensure that it withstands the various environmental conditions, including snow and rain. This also properly protects components that are prone to irreparable damage when exposed to common problems such as dust and debris.
The access point has omnidirectional antennas, which makes it befitting for a wireless network technology. This means that the Internet signal is broadcast uniformly over a large area, making it a perfect complement to 8021.11n protocol. It is further enahanced by its dual-polarized capability.
The OmniTik U-5HnD provides power over Ethernet support, which allows you to run the device without depending on outlets or other cables since the power can now go through the cable. This also makes the entire setup easier to monitor and manage.
Nv2 TDMA Support
The access point uses a special technology designed by MikroTik known as NV2 TDMA, which basically drastically improves your media usage by determining and resolving certain node problems that are not immediately detected by other access technologies. It works alongside quality of service so you can effectively control and manage throughput and reduce latency.
You can now easily check on the status of the access point through the signal indicators that are included in the design. You can also make use of the RouterOS, which gives you the ability to configure and modify settings of the access point in a user interface.
